Description
A self-fertile and cold hardy Kiwi vine, ‘Jenny’ has survived temperatures down to zero degrees Fahrenheit, and is heat and humidity hardy down to Zone 9 in central Florida. She produces loads of exotic looking fragrant flowers in spring that are followed in late summer by sweet-tart, fuzzy brown fruits that are lime green on the inside. The fruits have eight times more vitamin C than oranges and contain 20% natural sugar for outstanding sweetness. Lush, tropical looking foliage on vigorous vines that can reach 20 feet in length or height, and containing up to 100 pounds of fruit on a single mature vine, will require support. A sturdy structure with metal posts or 4″ x 4″ wood posts is suggested. If you are looking for an exceptionally attractive and edible vine to grow over a pergola or other overhead structure it doesn’t get much better than the Jenny Kiwi.
Cultural Preferences
Kiwi vines are easy to grow in most any moist but well drained soil, even amended clay and sandy soils. Avoid soils that are persistently wet during the growing season. The best and heaviest quantity of fruit will be produced when vines are growing in full to mostly sun.

First of all Wilson Bros company take’s special care in packaging their plants so that when I received them they were intact. The shipping time is appropriate. The Jenny’s Kiwi plant arrived healthy and I was amazed at how the leaves are big and vigorous, ready to be planted in the ground. So far it is happy where I had planted it. Being a young plant and it gets windy in St George Utah, I made sure that it is will protected. All the three plants that I had ordered from Wilson Bros are thriving in my yard (zone 8b). I have all hopes that the is special kiwi will live long and fruitful.——————————————–We are so glad you are pleased and we hope you enjoy your purchase for years to come! This plant arrived quickly considering the shipping delays right now. It was packaged well and one month later is still very healthy. Not as much vining growth yet as I had hoped, but it survived a few unexpectedly cold nights so that has likely slowed it down. Great plant. Will shop here again.—————————————–We are so glad you are pleased! Beth | WBG
