Description
A classic beauty that has been around since the 1930’s, if you are looking for a dependable climbing pink rose that has stood the test of time for so many reasons, look no further. ‘New Dawn’ is a vigorous, free flowering climbing Rose that produces sweetly fragrant soft to light pink double blooms that appear in abundance in spring reblooming prolifically to frost. The 3 to 4 inch flowers come in clusters that with one cutting make the perfect bouquet. Easy to grow, sun and shade tolerant, and disease resistant to black spot, rust and mildew, New Dawn is a great climbing Rose in every way. Growing as tall as 20 feet make her a fine selection for growing on a pergola, arch, fence, wall or pillar.
Landscape & Garden Uses
Growing vigorously 15 to 20 feet tall and 7 to 10 feet wide, the New Dawn Climbing Rose is ideal for growing on fences and rails or up and on arches, arbors, pergolas and other structures. A fine addition to cottage gardens, pink theme gardens, cutting gardens, fragrance gardens and as a background in rose gardens.
Growing Preferences
The New Dawn Climbing Rose is easy to grow in most any moist but well-drained soil of average or above average fertility and full sun to part shade. As with all other roses, morning sun is a must to dry dew from the leaves but some afternoon shade or filtered sun is okay. Flowering will be best if the plant receives at least 6 hours of direct sun during the day. Has good drought tolerance when established and high disease resistance. Prune after flowering if desired.

I purchased two large New Dawn Climbing Roses in September. They arrived quickly, were packaged extremely well and were large, healthy and beautiful. They have been in the ground for several weeks now and are thriving and even blooming! The price was great, free shipping is a big bonus.

Over the years I have purchased countless plants from various garden centers and nurseries, but the “New Dawn” rose which arrived from Wilson Bros was nothing if not a new level of excellence. It arrived in exquisite packaging, a sturdy box which provided
wonderful protection for the rose.
The rose itself was stunning in the effulgence of its leaves, and there were already
quite lovely flowers. The plant was wonderfully sturdy and healthy, and it has already
begun to climb the supporting trellis. It joins three other “New Dawn” climbers secured from other nurseries, but its superiority to those is as dramatic as it is reassuring.
At first the advertised price made me hesitate a bit. How grateful I am that I persevered and made the purchase. Wilson’s “New Dawn” rose clearly authenticates the connection between price and value! I am perfectly delighted to have discovered
this outstanding nursery.—————————————Wow!! We are so glad you are pleased and we hope you enjoy it for years to come! Thanks so much for the kind words and wonderful review! 🙂 Beth Steele | WBG
