Description
Winner of numerous awards listed below, the Tiki Torch Coneflower wows from summer through mid fall with massive 4 to 5 inch diameter flowers in shades of vivid orange to umber tones. The long-lasting, spicey-scented flowers perched atop strong and sturdy stems up to 36 inches high retain their intense color for weeks rather than days, making them excellent for cutting and use in flower arrangements. The butterflies, hummingbirds and other beneficial pollinators love them. Seeds that follow the flowers are enjoyed by songbirds, finches and other birds. An easy-to-grow offspring of two of our native Echinacea species, Tiki Torch is sure to make a bold statement in landscape and perennial borders as well as being a great performer in container gardens.

Growing Preferences
Tiki Torch Orange Coneflower is very easy to grow in most any moist but well-drained soil in full sun or part shade. Provide at least 5 hours of direct sun for best flowering. As with many other perennial plants, constantly soggy or wet soils can be problematic. Heavy, dense clay soils should be amended with organic matter to improve drainage. No deadheading necessary though can be done if desired. Allow some spent flowers to stay on the plant to feed seeds to the birds. Feed in spring with a good flower food or organic plant food.
